General Ordering Information for Certificates

Thank you for choosing my web site Store!
Special companies produce these products as a way of keeping a little Nostalgia alive!

They make excellent Heirloom treasures and gifts for family and friends.

Order Early so that time is allowed for framing and matting.

If I can assist, just let me know.

Hand-Lettering.

Let's keep it formal & authentic--NO computer generated font entries. Each Certificate is personally "hand-lettered" in black or sepia ink by me.   Hand-lettered authenticity adds to the value.

I use the calligraphy style of "chancery italic/copperplate" (thin/heavy strokes) hand-lettering to create a Vintage look. These certificates are produced on heavy, coated paper stock to preserve and enhance. Each is personalized in matt finished India ink.

Certificate Decision Making

Each certificate is unique, with varied colors, styles, and wording. Some give the effect of being more "antique" than others, while some are more Edwardian, Traditional, or with less history. Things to consider: choice of colors, Cherubs, Angels, Flowers, Wording and size.

"...once I set the ink on the certificate with personalized information, it becomes an heirloom"....Valerie

Ink Requirements
Use precaution when signing or filling out your certificate. Any alcohol based marker or ink will dry easily on the surface, yet if using a water based medium, you MUST let the surface dry thoroughly before blotting or touching. The manufacturer recommends that once all signatures are complete or entries are made that you spray the entire surface with a light coat of permanent fixative. Do so when completely dry, especially if water based ink has been used.

You might consider using a Sharpie® pen when having witnesses personally sign the certificate--fast drying.

Calligraphy means "beautiful writing".
