Gift Giving—acts of human kindness

For most every event, a gift is appropriate.   This fine custom adds a warm, human touch.   Thought should go into the gift giving process.  A gift must reflect personalization, a bit of creativity, or uniqueness.  Gifts should be given in the spirit of giving to another for the shear enjoyment of it.  Its fun to give a special present to someone!  The unexpected gift can be the most fun.  Make it special.

While a bride will receive many gifts, she will certainly want to thank her attendants with a token of appreciation.  A new business owner might receive a floral arrangement or gift certificates for flowers, dinners, or office supplies.   An Open House celebration is also worthy of plant and floral deliveries.   Also, when you have been invited to a dinner or event in the home of a friend, it is proper to bring a food-type gift (suggestions below).  First Communions dictate an appropriate gift (see below).  Gifts to charitable groups include cash or item donation, memorials and honorariums.  Sending a card with a handwritten note is always appreciated for many celebrations.   Lastly, with today's internet technology, you can certainly e-mail an electronic greeting card for most any occasion.
