Budgeting

Your event will run smoother if you have some kind of idea what expense is involved.  Every the simplest of affairs require a budget.  Plan your money and also use this as a "To-Do" List!  Continue on Page 2.

With so many details, expenses can add up very quickly.   Planning and preparation, in advance, will assist in this process.  For weddings, traditional financial responsibilities are outlined for both the bride and groom's parents, yet it is becoming more common for the bride, groom and the groom's family to bear more of the financial obligations of the event.

When shopping, consider price-comparisons, discount companies, and package arrangements.  A wise shopper can adjust the budget so that other items or services can be a part of the event. Always include the cost of any deposits that are required and the total amount of refund.  Whether it is a small or large celebration, many of the same expenses will be incurred.  The biggest difference is the reception and catering needs.   The number of people expected to attend is the determining factor of the expense.  Food at the Reception can range anywhere from $3.50 per person to $10.50 depending on food selection and your caterer services.

Expenses will also reflect in one's own personal taste and style.  Yet, even the most simplistic of motifs can be both elegant and expensive.   For those on a tight budget, consider the areas that are the most important to you, personally.  Adjust your budget in other areas so that you feel the highlight of your wishes.
