While these are "reproduced" certificates of the 1880's and Edwardian period, they have certainly made themselves nostalgic already--and with story for some of my purchasers.

Dear Valerie, I received the parcel today,.........the certificate and the program covers are just out of this world! There is no word to express what I feel about them! They’re exorbitant! One was shipped to Australia only to discover that the groom entered the wrong date on the order form--quickly renewed and he'll never forget his wedding date now. Another was in preparation stages when discovery was made that the county clerk had the wrong date on the marriage licensed which was filed-----seven years ago. One certificate was "born again" after encountering the terrible floods in West Virginia. One bride decided to have her entire wedding party sign it during the ceremony--sweet memory for all. Oh, and after 25 years of marriage, they omitted entering their birthplace, having their certificate read, "of deep love" and "of mutual respect". One couple bought one for their wedding and also gave each set of parents their own personalized Certificate during the ceremony--a celebration of marriage! And...a sweet story from an Australian bride-to-be....she had desperately wanted one of these certificates for her wedding, yet money orders and regular rate of exchange is expensive. Her fiancé is in the Navy in Australia and sent her some American money "to look at". She used this money to surprise him with the beautiful "Oval Photo" certificate! Heirloom stories for life!

Valerie, Good News. HOORAY!!! I received the certificates today. Thursday morning around 11:00. After opening them I took them straight to the place I get my framing done. They look really nice. You did an excellent job. I hope my daughter -in- law and her sister (godmother) will appreciate them. One day when my granddaughter is old enough to understand she will appreciate it too. The guy there was so impressed with them. He usually frames the certificates that the church gives to the parents. Very plain and printed out on a computer. So cold and very impersonal. He thought these were so special, I told him to take good care of them when framing. I chose a nice chocolate brown frame without a mat for now. There is just no time to custom frame in the short time frame we have(no pun intended) Anyways, I would like to thank you for the wonderful piece of art you created. The Groom planning the Wedding!
My lovely bride works 6-7 days a week so I have put the entire wedding together. I began with the Victorian theme. Then I found a charming 1836 church in the area and booked it. Then I found a quaint restaurant that has been enthusiastically working with me. I got an organist and a minister for the church (regular minister on vacation months of Feb and Mar (I’d like that job myself). I put together a detailed written project plan with dates, etc and have been diligently executing it. Just finished with the invitations (did my own wording), handling flights and hotels for out-of-towners (small wedding only 42 but several from out of the area). Still working on the dance music but hope to wrap it up in a week or so. THEN, booked a 16-day honeymoon that takes us to Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai in Thailand plus Angkor Wat in Northern Cambodia and lunch in Tokyo on the way home (made all hotel, flight, etc. arrangements myself -no agent). Wow!

I am having fun with it. I used your worksheets and those of some others to combine into one extremely comprehensive set of activities. I also wrote the vows and, in fact, scripted the entire marriage ceremony for all participants including the minister.
